Sometimes the day feels so long

Sometimes the day feels so long

The sunny day, the spring wind, and the sweet songs of birds

But still

The day feels so long

Long as if it is not going away

Long as if even the silence is irritating same as the noise

Long as if it is a mixture of sadness and “nothing”

Nothing bad and nothing good

Just “nothing” and thus saddening

Long as if it will pass only if I sleep

Long enough to see even the dreams during this sleep

Sometimes the day feels so long

With no valid reason defined

But maybe it’s a day to relax

Sometimes the day feels so long

Finding reasons to be sad

Finding whether am I missing someone

Finding whether someone else is missing me

May be because a periodic dose of sadness is also required by our mind to keep it healthy

Sometimes the day feels so long

After we are done with big goals, a busy month or a week of hard work

It feels so long because not even the completion of a goal makes us happy

It makes us miss those days when we were working hard and expecting and wishing for this same long day

Sometimes the day feels so long

Because we have no work to do

And boredom kills us

As if we are not made to rest

The day feels so long…

Good afternoon
