Gen Z Suffering From “Too Many” and “Too Much”

Gen Z Suffering From “Too Many” and “Too Much”

Too many digital options all around,
Very difficult to choose just one.

Too much information floods the mind,
Very hard to decide what is mine.

Too much scrolling, endlessly we roam,
Very difficult to pause and stop at one.

Too many courses, and paths to pursue,
Persisting on one seems impossible to do.

Too many options for boys and girls online,
Too much easy to conversate the whole night,
Too easy to compare with others on line,
Very difficult to love just one, and not give up with just one fight.

Too many skills to learn and acquire,
Very difficult not to change dreams and have a single burning desire.

Too many options on eCommerce and noise,
Very difficult to buy only the “needed one” and prevent “manipulated choice”

Gen Z Suffering From “Too Many” and “Too Much”

Too much sad news about the world,
Very difficult not to be sad and not be bold.

Too many social media show-offs,
Very difficult not to be jealous.

Too many YouTube shorts, attention spans fray,
Longer, meaningful content is pushed away.

Too much of reels showing “don’t do this and that”,
Very difficult to decide where to hang our hats.

Too much screen time, eyes glued tight,
Very difficult to get the time, to see the beauty of day and night.

Too many reasons to stay indoors, hide, and use mobile,
Forgetting the world beyond our digital tide, the talks and walks with people beside.

Too many social media and distractions,
Very difficult to stop switching and give attention.

Too many pop-ups, notifications, and msg/call rings,
Very difficult not to see mobile and head go swing.

Too many ads, tracking our every move,
Stripping away our autonomy, leaving us to prove ourselves.

Too much switching, shifting, changing, skipping, and scrolling,
Very difficult to do one thing in one morning or evening.

Too many life’s loci,
Very very difficult to learn the art of “Focus”.

Too much distraction when we’re online,
Very difficult to focus on our health and consciousness of mind.

Too much data, too little air,
Very difficult not to breath in anxiety, and despair.

Too much of being the digital avatars,
It’s time to go out with friends and play some guitar,
Not online,
But offline,
Let’s rejoin,
Stop acting like a blind,
You can see the truth,
So protect your brain to its full.
