My dear friends, wish you a very Happy New Year 2023, I want to summarize everything that I learned from the last year’s failures and successes in short and let you know only the useful parts that can help you become productive, efficient, and maybe a good person at the end of the day.
The only thing that you can change is yourself. You cannot change your society or the people around you until you gain the ability to control your mind and body.
To do this, you need to have control over your emotions, feelings, mind, hunger, and anger and react only after thinking, not from emotions. This is because only by conquering your mind will you be able to control the world.
The education system often teaches us to work alone, keep our ideas to ourselves, and avoid sharing resources. But in the real world, the key to learning is to share ideas, collaborate with others, learn from your mistakes, and never be afraid of failure.
To truly succeed, you need to learn how to learn, and that means stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing new experiences. Make a habit of finding roadmaps before you start learning.
Make your vision as definite as possible, whether that means setting a target income in exact numbers, a deadline, or a definite set of skills to master. But finding your vision can be difficult for some people. If you're not sure what your passion is, try focusing on what excites you most and make a plan to pursue it.
It's natural to crave the rush of dopamine that comes with small successes, this leads to a feeling of tension and depression when things don’t go right quickly. but it's important to remember that long-term success takes time and consistency.
Avoid the temptation to chase quick wins or get caught up in the pursuit of temporary pleasure. Instead, focus on slow, and steady progress toward your goals. Take decisions faster and change them very less often.
When you are in a group of people, try to listen aggressively, talk less, observe more, and give silence for 3-5 seconds even after the opposite person has completed his first part.
Also, judge less, instead ask questions. Have a confident personality by sitting comfortably, making eye contact, keeping a smile on your face, and replying only after thinking for 20 seconds.
And don't forget to connect with people both online and in person, as you never know where your next opportunity may come from. Do some personal branding so that you can be recognized even without your face and name.
Good habits are easier to maintain when they're convenient and visible, while bad habits are easier to break when they're difficult to access. Try using the principles of atomic habits to make good habits more prominent and bad habits harder to fall back. For example: keep books near to you in the visible regions and mobile far from you.
Time management can be overwhelming, but task management is much more manageable. It is easier to find out what is not important than to find what is important.
Eliminate tasks that aren't important and focus on the ones that are time-critical. Avoid consuming information that doesn't have an immediate application, like TV, radio, and newsletters. Set boundaries around your email and messaging habits, and try to limit meetings and calls to only those that have a definite purpose.
Don’t ask “how are you?” instead you can ask “ how can I help you?”.
To be a good leader, you need to prioritize people over money or numbers. Help them be a better version of themselves. Don’t change employee change conditions they work in. In the end, you will get good results only if employees feel safe, inspired, and grateful.
As a leader, you must be a servant of all whom you serve. Don't blame your employees for problems; sometimes it's your own leadership that needs improvement. Give them an opportunity to innovate and trust them.
Corporations earn money, spend as they like, and pay taxes on what's left. Employees earn money, pay taxes, and spend what's left. This is the power of corporations.
Employees make their employers rich by working for them and their government rich by paying taxes. Many people stay in low-paying jobs out of fear, but fear is a powerful emotion that can cloud our judgment.
Instead of reacting to fear, try thinking with your mind. Income alone will never be enough to achieve big dreams. The more you spend, the more you'll need to earn.
The key to accumulating wealth is to buy assets – things that put money in your pocket even when you're not working. Keep your day job, but also start building a portfolio of assets. Financial literacy is also key to success.
Rich people don't just keep money in their pockets; they have control over their finances because they understand the law, accounting, and finance.
Marketers are focusing more on mass spamming, advertising, and getting discovered than on marketing by making real stories, understanding customers, and creating ideas and products to serve people.
Businesses are focusing on finding a customer and creating hype for their useless product rather than on making good products that customer really needs.
Designers are making content more artistic but less meaningful using AI tools. Online companies are focusing on UI/UX more than on the services it provides, or on solving their own problem(may be technical) rather than on solving others' problems.
Entrepreneurs are focused on making themselves famous rather than creating ideas and real products. Everything is just going in the wrong direction. And it is time to look back in history on how brands like Luis Vuitton made products that mattered, how amazon focused on customers' problems, how people marketed things worldwide when there were no spamming tools like Facebooks ads, Tik Tok influencers, and even internet, etc.
Even after applying all the above tactics, you might sometime feel low or non-productive, or sad because of not achieving the expected results.
At this time you must understand that something is going wrong with your selection of tasks or people, not you. And during this situation, you must call back on what you did, what worked, and what did not, what took more time to learn, and what didn't get into your mind at all. Make a decision based on looking into past experiences.
Work for free to learn skills that will give you money in bulk in the future.
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment, without judgment. It can help you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, and can also improve your ability to manage stress and make better decisions. Try incorporating mindfulness techniques like meditation, yoga, reading books, writing, or deep breathing into your daily routine.
Stay healthy both physically and mentally as they are dependent on each other. Have belief in what you do, never doubt your capability, and have persistence in whatever you do because things take time and changes are visible after consistency is maintained.
Make goals so big in long term but a new year resolution does not necessarily have to be made full of big lists of skills or awards. Add only a few and see if you achieve them in a year, as we mentioned above be selective, if you succeed add more to the list.
